Marjorie Barnes Obituary
LAKELAND, FL - Marjorie Bathesheba Chaffee Barnes, age 91, formerly of Lansing, died Tuesday evening at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. Marjorie was born in McLean, the daughter of the late Dana and Delight Chaffee. She was employed by Cornell University for a majority of her life where she was a Supervisor in the Cleaning Department. Since retirement, Marjorie has been spending time in both Florida and New York.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Ann Warren; son-in-law, James McBride; four grandchildren, Colleen (Richard) Van Horn, Shannon Bartlett, Carl (Karen) Warren, Joyce (Norman) Brisson; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Ivan Barnes; and her daughter, Sandra Hazel McBride.
Friends and family may call Tuesday, September 2nd, from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. Funeral Services at the Herson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in North Lansing Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
