Irene Thomas Obituary
PENN YAN - Irene Thomas of the Homestead died Sunday, September 14, just a few weeks prior to her 95th birthday. Irene is survived by her three children, Virgina Wagner (Josef) of Penn Yan, Beverley (Pete) Wells of Lansing, and Ernest E. Thomas (Sally) of Bergen; ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Fairborther; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 East Main Street, Penn Yan, New York, Wednesday, September 17, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 135 Hamilton Street, Penn Yan. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery immediately following the funeral. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Penn Yan Ambulance Corps, Main Street, Penn Yan or the Keuka Comfort Care Home, P.O. Box 107, 35 Route 54E Lake Road, Penn Yan, New York 14527.
