Philomena St. John Obituary

PHILOMENA
ST. JOHN
INTERLAKEN - Philomena St. John, age 88, former longtime resident of Interlaken, died Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Northwoods of Cortland.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Ovid Federated Church for family and friends at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008, officiated by Rev. Diane Walker. Prayers of committal will be held privately at Lake View Cemetery in Interlaken. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Ovid Federated Church, PO Box 340, Ovid, NY, or the charity of one's choice in Philomena's memory.
Philomena was born on April 17, 1920 in Brewster, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Prienzi. She took great pride in providing a loving home for her family and found delight in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had been a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed crafting and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce L. (Douglas) Parsons of Morrisville, Allyson M. (Charles Crayton) St. John of Interlaken; her grandchildren, Janette (Gene) Fleming, Kirk (Barbie) Parsons, Carrie (Les Kraft) Parsons, Pam (Derek) Powers, and Tyler Crayton; and by eight great-grandchildren. Philomena was preceded in death by her husband, Alan in 1978; and by three brothers and a sister.
