Shawn, I just today learned of your mothers passing. I am deaply sorry for your loss. I met you when I was about 8 years old. I remember comming over to your house to play and your mother would always spend a few minutes chatting with me. Years later I remember her calling my restaurant to order food and she would take the time to speak with me, mostly about you and how proud she was of you. I have thought about her often and hoped she was doing well. She was a very strong and courageous woman. My prayers go out to you, your sisters, your father and the rest of your family.

To my grandma,
I will always remember how vibrant your laugh, how wild your humor and how beautiful your face. I will never forget those days of listening to you tell stories and admiring your strength. I loved you then and I love you now. Just wish I said goodbye, if I had only known how...

Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand,
Kristin Marie

REMEMBERING YOU
They say the pain will go away
Tho it will take a while
They say the time will come
When I'll remember how to smile.
They say one day I'll cease to feel
The hurt around my heart
When memories--- Unbidden---
Cause sudden tears to start.
They say these things, not kowing
I need to feel the pain
And live within my memories
Until we meet again.

This is a poem that my mother gave to me on Mother's Day after I became a mother .
To Kim my grown daughter.
My hands were busy through the day,I didn't have much time to play, the little games you asked me to. I didn't have much time for you; I washed your clothes,I'd sew and cook. But, when you'd bring me your picture book and ask me please to share your fun, I'd say a little later hon. I'd tuck you in all safe at night and hear your prayers, turn out the light. Then tip toe softly to the door... I wish I'd stayed a minute more! For life is short, the years rush past... a little girl grows up so fast; no longer is she by your side, her precious secrets to confide.
The picture books are put away, there are no longer games to play, no good night kiss, no prayers to hear.. that all belongs to yester year.
My hands , once busy, now are still. The days are long and hard to fill. I wish I could go back and do, the little things you asked me too!!
Your Mom,
I love you!
I kept this peom all these years and now my girls are grown too and I have grandkids of my own. I love you mom, I have missed you and will miss you always but I will never forget the very special times that we once shared! I will miss you until we meet again in the grand pastures of Heaven.
All my love, your oldest brat,
Kimi

Uncle Dickie, Kim, Carmon, Pixi, Shawn,
I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Janice's passing. I have wonderful memories of her. She was such a funny person, and I remember her playing music and singing and dancing in her kitchen on Coddington Rd. She was a beautiful person and in her youth she had such a sense of style. I inherited that from her. A sad passing in the Schlock legacy.

Love,
Susie

Shawn and Dickie:

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Shawn and I were best friends all throughout the Ithaca school system.

I remember playing guitar in the basement on Yates St. Janice would yell down to us, "You boys want some dinner?" We said, "Yes!" and she promptly hollered back... "TOO BAD!" I will never forget those days!

I always enjoyed her wit and her laugh!

My thoughts are with you both!

Take Care!
