I would like to express my sympathy to the Slowe Family. Ms. Ada was my backbone when I reached Ithaca Ny in 2002. My thoughts and Prayers go out to the family that I met and accepted me as part of the family.I remember cooking that special birhtday dinner for her and meeting the family who treated me like a sister. Keeping in touch with everyone of them and still sharing good times and good food. From my family to yours Ada will be missed but not forgotten in our hearts. There is a piece of her in all of us. miss you much ma.

When I was a young girl, I thought I was the only person in the world to your grandmother. Aunt Georgia Lee is what we learned to call her. When I met Ada, I was happy to know that I wasn't. My first impresson of her was of love and caring. She made me feel as special as her mother had. I pray for your strength during this time. May God bless each of you. Another cousin,

Aqeela,
There is nothing that can be said, that will erase the hurt that you are experiencing. Cal and I have both had to accept the physical absence of our parents, as a result of death having completed the final part of their lives here on Earth. Hold on to the memories and the love that you shared with your mother. Grieve for her and just know that one day a calmness will encompass you that will let you know that she is all right and you will begin to feel stronger as a result of everything that you did for her or experienced with her including having to say good-bye. Know that we are praying for you and your family.

With deepest sympathy:
Native American Poem

"Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there..."

I was so sad to hear about your mother. She was a great friend to my mother and one of the hardest working women I know. She will be greatly missed. I will always remember her walking up Clinton Street with a big smile on her face, and she always gave me a big hug when she saw me. Her enthusiasm for life will be sorely missed. Remember the laughter and good times, always. I love you guys, and pray that God will comfort you in your time of need. I cannot be there with you, but you are in my prayers.

Love Always,
