William Burton Obituary

WILLIAM "BILL" B. BURTON
NEWFIELD - William "Bill" B. Burton, age 60, of Newfield, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, morning at Corning Hospital. Bill was born in Wellsboro, PA, a son of the late Bernard M. and Marguerite I. Burton.
Bill was an avid fisherman and bowler. His favorite pastime was watching sports on TV. He was also a retired machinist at Shepard Niles in Montour Falls. He was a member of the Eagle Club and the Moose Lodge in Montour Falls.
Survivors include his companion of 20 years, Deanna Brown; two sisters, Barbara A. (David) Wilmoth and Sharon (John) Eastlack; one nephew, David Wilmoth; an adopted son, Raymond A. Brown Jr.; two nieces, Linda (Jeff) Knickerbocker and Tina Morris; two great-nephews, five great-nieces, two great-great-nieces; an aunt, Doris Burton.
Friends and family may call Monday, December 10, 2007 from 1 p.m. until time of 2:00 p.m. funeral Service at the Herson Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assn. or to the American Heart Assn.
