MACK, Jr., 93

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mr. Francis Murray Mack Jr., 93, of 745 Dilworth Lane, went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2009 at the Pineville Rehab and Living Center, due to heart failure.
Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland, Florida.
A native of Fort Mill, Mr. Mack was the son of the late Francis M. Mack Sr. and Elizabeth Nims Mack. He was a retired chemist with the University of Florida and a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #56, Fort Mill S.C., a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and also the Sons of the Confederacy, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, a member of the Retired Teachers of Polk County, a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a member of the Mississippi State Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Duke Mack; one daughter, Iris Delores Talkington and her husband, John of Fort Mill; one brother, William Mack of Washington State; and two grandchildren, Jason Talkington and his wife, Gaby and Justin Talkington; and one great grandchild, Kaitlyn Talkington.
Fort Mill Funeral Home is serving the family locally.

My sympathy to you and your family in your loss. I have thought of you many times since our teaching days at Crystal Lake Junior High School. I have now just retired from teaching for the second time. God bless you.
