Grace M. (Young) Wiggins, 90, of Big Flats, N.Y., died Sunday at Corning Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joseph Wiggins.
Born on Dec. 21, 1927, in Jermyn, Pa., to Frederick and Mildred Seymour Young, she was the youngest of seven children.
Throughout the course of her life, Grace lived many places, including Carbondale, Pa., Deland, Fla. and Horseheads, N.Y. She made friends wherever she went. She was an accomplished seamstress, homemaker and a well loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is also survived by her two daughters, Christine and Patricia; her grandchildren, Andrew (Megan), Sarah (Patrick), Olivia and Grant; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Jackson, Luke and Gabriel; her brother, Loyd (Barbara) Young; and many loved nieces and nephews
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Battenberg Funeral Home, 363 Washington Ave., Jermyn, with services by the Rev. Allan Rupert, pastor, Primitive Methodist Church, Jermyn. Interment, Jermyn Cemetery.
Friends and family will be welcomed, 10 until time of service. Donations may be made to Primitive Methodist Church, Jemyn.
