I will always remember the times the Currys getting together for various picnics and playing volleyball and various other sports. I cant eat corn on the cob from a store anymore because nothing tastes close to what we would get from across the street....I am a better person for all the time we got to spend with Uncle Carl!! My thoughts are with you!

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. He was a great friend to my daughter Bonnie. We loved seeing Carl and Sylvia at the softball games. Elaine and Bonnie played softball together and we had so much fun at the games. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm very saddened to hear this. Carl and I went through school together, and I have many good memories of those years. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Carl was a 'girl dad' long before it became a meme. I have great memories of softball games - Carl watching his girls on his lawn chair, in a team ball cap, reading the paper or a thick Math text.
My sincerest sympathy to Carl's family and friends.

Carl was my across the street neighbor for 42 years. It was always amazing to watch him in their huge garden. He and Sylvia could stoop for hours in the hot sun either weeding or picking vegetables together. There was usually a well trained border collie in the vacinity! Carl was always generous in sharing the seasonal bounty whether it be blueberries, corn or apples. Fall always brought a bounty of pumpkins and corn stalks to their large front yard giving us a great fall view!
He was a bright, articulate man with a sharp wit and a ready sense of humor. I remember him studying Spanish for a trip to South America. He was outside and had a tape playing while he worked so he could practice. Carl was also a very caring person and a great family man. He could be found watching his girls play softball. I know he was very proud of his grandchildren.
I had not seen him for awhile but was fortunate to see him the day before he passed. Even in his condition he asked how I was. He will be missed by many...
