Kristopher Paul Bernavage, 43, of South Scranton, passed away on May 8, 2021, at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Patricia Stanley and the late William Bernavage. Kris was an avid sports fan, especially the Yankees, Raiders and Lakers. He was known as the commish to many of his fellow Fantasy Sports League players. He was blessed with a sarcastic wit and an extremely generous heart.
Kris is survived by his mother, Patricia, of Scranton; brothers, William and Joseph, of Scranton; Stefan Sallet (Debra), of Florida; Michael Sallet, of Maryland; nephew, William III, of Scranton; niece, Madeline Sallet, of Maryland; and his loyal canine companion, Poncho.
The family would like to thank Dunmore DaVita Dialysis for their compassionate care given to Kris over the years. Also, Dr. Peter Cognetti, Dr. John Prior and Dr. Roger Getts.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 15, at the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Ave., West Scranton; viewing from 3 to 5:30 p.m. with a service at 5:30, officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Levy, Embury United Methodist Church.
