Constance J. Baranowski, 87, of Old Forge, entered into eternal rest on Monday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Her husband, Stanley F., passed away Aug. 23, 2005.
Born and educated in Scranton, Connie was the daughter of the late Peter and Blanche Nycz Nazar. She was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. For many years, Connie worked at Arcaro & Genell's Restaurant, Old Forge, as a waitress. She was a talented and fabulous baker, each cookie was to perfection for that special occasion. Throughout the years, she tenderly was a caregiver for her aunt, husband and her grandchildren, who were everything to her. Connie looked forward to shopping and weekly lunches, with her dear friend, Julie.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Musso, Pittston; and Cindy Janiga and husband, Andrew, Duryea; four beloved grandchildren, Ashley and Alicia Janiga, and Mario and Damon Musso; a great-grandson, Nicco Musso; a sister, Sharon Sienkiewich, Dunmore; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Peter Dubiac.
Family and friends are invited to attend Connie's Mass of Christian Burial, which will be on Monday, May 17, at 11:30 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea, to be celebrated by the Rev. John V. Polednak, V.E., pastor.
