Cristina Bollinger, 54, a resident of Tyler Hill, died Friday in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after an illness. Her husband of 17 years is William Bollinger.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sandra Lubrani Ferrario. She was formerly a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish until its closure. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and attended Lackawanna College. Before her illness, she was employed by Lackawanna County Better Business Bureau.
Cristina was passionate about music and she formerly played guitar with a local band. She also assisted her husband in his video production company. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Also surviving are numerous cousins.
A Blessing and Committal Service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Jonathan Kuhar in the chapel at Italian-American Cemetery, Cemetery Avenue, Minooka section of Scranton. All are invited to go directly to the chapel Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Damascus Ambulance, 1290 Cochecton Turnpike, Tyler Hill, PA 18469; or to Muscular Dystrophy at www.mda.org.
