Richard Topper Obituary

Richard A. Topper, 78, of Narvon, passed away on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021. He was the husband of the late Linda J. Rountree Topper, who died in 2001. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Margaret Barbara Topper and grandson of the late Michael Adam and Mary Wozniak Topper.

Richard came to the Ephrata area in the 1960s where he met his wife and was married July 3, 1967. An avid hunter, turned fisherman, he had many stories to tell of his trips to the bay, river or local fishing spot with many of his fishing buddies. He was also a member of the Irish Wolfhound Club of America where he showed his beloved Shamus.

Richard retired from CNH where he had been employed as a production assembler. Prior to that, he had been employed by the Fleet-Aire Shoe Company.

He was the last of his immediate family and will be missed dearly by his many friends on Elwood Street and the local community. His friends would like to thank Zerbe Retirement Community for the special care he received the past three years.

A service will take place at the Columbarium at the Ridgeview Mennonite Church, 3723 Ridge Road, Gordonville, PA, on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Kanagy officiating.
