Shirley Figured of Scranton passed into the arms of the Lord Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021. Her devoted husband of 66 years is Jack Figured.
A lifelong Scrantonian, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Henn Capwell. Educated in Scranton schools, prior to retirement she was employed at Penn Illuminating, where she met her lifelong friend, Carol Rothstein. After leaving Penn Illuminating, she went to work for Haband where she was a supervisor. A woman of strong faith, Shirley was a devoted Catholic and was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Parish.
Shirley's family would like to thank Dr. Carl Barsigian and his staff and also the nurses and staff at Moses Taylor Hospital.
Also surviving are sons Jack and fiancée, Linda Lombardo; and Daniel and wife, Christine; grandchildren, Shannon, Frank; Matt and wife, Renee; and Mike and wife, Carolina; great-grandchildren, Matti, Emmi, Thomas, Ethan, Anthony and John; and sister, Peggy, of Florida.
She was preceded in death by son, Frank; brothers, Daniel, Frank, George, Lester and Robert; and sisters, Evelyn, Grace and Marcina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Parish, 1309 W. Locust St., Scranton. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects from 9 a.m. until Mass time in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

I want to say I'm so sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. She will surely be missed. I loved when she visited me when she came into Lowe's. She always put a smile on my face. She was a great lady.
