Michael J. McLaughlin, 75, a resident of Covington Twp., died unexpectedly Friday evening at home. His wife of 43 years was the late former Barbara Ann Zedar Marzec, who died in 2019.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late William and Erna Phillips McLaughlin. He was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow. He and his wife worked together for 50 years at Topps, Scranton. Mike was a wonderful husband and father along with being a man of great faith. His passion was caring for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his son and daughter-in-law.
Surviving are his son, Jude McLaughlin and wife, Jessica, Roaring Brook Twp.; a brother, William McLaughlin and wife, Cheryl, Mountain Top; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by siblings, Marjorie Brock Castanzo, Joseph, Robert and Paul Brock, and Patricia Brock Gibson.
A graveside blessing and committal service will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in the near future.
