Rosemary Manko, Scranton, passed away early Wednesday morning in the Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness. She was the widow of John Manko, who passed away in 2012. The couple had been married 29 years.
Born 1948 in Scranton, Rosemary was the daughter of the late George Karsnak and Mabel Karsnak Kosh and stepdaughter of Ted Kosh. She was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a CNA at the Adams Manor Nursing Home, Scranton.
Rosemary enjoyed time at the casino and feeding her two stray cats. She also loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Lori Prezkop; son-in-law, Randy Richards; sister, Marge Cimino; brother, Mike Karsnak; her twin brother, Jack Karsnak; granddaughters, Monica Moore and Alexa Peters; grand-dogs; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Marie Richards; and brother, George Karsnak.
A gathering will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. until noon in the Chapel at Fairview Memorial Park, 111 State Route 435, Elmhurst Twp. Graveside services will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions be made to Sts. Cats and Dogs of Nay Aug Zoo (St. Cats Inc.), c/o 1900 E. Gibson St., Scranton, PA 18510.
