Rose Marie Florence Roche, 91, of the Green Ridge section of Scranton, died Wednesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness. She was the widow of Adolph "Dutch" Roche, who died in 2010.
Born in West Scranton in 1933, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Florence Walsh Turi, and stepmother, Lucy Turi. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, and was also a 45-year breast cancer survivor.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan R. Roche, Scranton; sons, Martin J. Roche, Scranton; and Richard M. Roche and wife, Carmen, Virginia; grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexis and Paul Marmo, Christina and Matthew Grippo, and Jessica and Brian Roche; great-grandson, Myles Murphy; brother, Rev. John J. Turi, Scranton; sister-in-law, Charlotte Mckee; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Donna Marie Marmo; brothers, Martin and Sebastian Turi; sister-in-law, Ann Marie Turi; and brother-in-law, Robert Mackee.
A Mass of Christian Burial in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church and entombment in Cathedral Cemetery Mausoleum will be private.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
