Arlene Pierce Obituary

Arlene S. Pierce, 81, of 17A Alton-Bradford Road, Hopkinton, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at The Westerly Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late George A. Pierce Sr. and Alice Chapman Pierce.
Miss Pierce worked in the textile industry for many years. She first worked at Bradford Dyeing Association and then for an extended time at the former Swift River Woolen Company. She also worked in later years at the Westerly Senior's Meal Site.
She leaves four brothers, George A. Pierce Jr., Harold F. Pierce and Irwin C. Pierce, all of Richmond, and Martin D. Pierce of Hopkinton.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Alice Jane Pierce.
Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, is in charge of arrangements. There are no visiting hours, and the burial will be private in Union Baptist Cemetery, North Stonington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, 27 Chase St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379 in Arlene's memory.
