Doris Elizabeth (Griffin) Perrin

Doris Elizabeth (Griffin) Perrin, 80, of Sisk Drive, Pawcatuck, died peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Perrin whom she married on May 28, 1977, at St. James Episcopal Church in Preston, Conn.
Born in Monson, Mass., on Nov. 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Doris Elizabeth (Crowther) Griffin.
Doris had been a homemaker and child-care provider for many years in the Norwich, Westerly and Pawcatuck area. She was an avid bingo player.
Doris was a member of the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and the AARP.
Besides her husband, she will be sadly missed by her two daughters and one son, Deborah Scott of Gates, N.C., Martha Rebman of Westerly and Mark Perrin of Norwich. She was the loving grandmother of Desiree of Georgia, Cheyenne of North Carolina and Crystal of Connecticut. She also leaves two sisters, Phyllis Macollini of Gales Ferry, Conn., and Winonna Winfield of California; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in Conn., Mass., and Calif.
Mrs. Perrin's family will greet relatives and friends this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, at 11 a.m., in River Bend Cemetery, Beach Street, Westerly.
