Francesco Giuseppe Ciciriello

Francesco Giuseppe Ciciriello, 71, of Branch Street, Westerly, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at The Westerly Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Sara (Gioffre) Ciciriello, whom he married on Aug. 1, 1965.
Born in Sanfili Consenza, Italy, on January 27, 1937, he was the son of Salvatore and Maria (Rende) Ciciriello. He came to America in 1962.
Mr. Ciciriello worked at Arnold Bakery in Connecticut for 25 years. He then worked at the Eastern Middle School in Greenwich, Conn., for 12 years, until he retired.
He lived on Perry Avenue in Portchester, N.Y., for 38 years before moving to Westerly in 2002.
Besides his wife, he will be sadly missed by his six children, Maria Francesca Ciciriello, Rosanna Palomba, Patrizia Carriere, Giuseppina "Pina" Nastasi, Salvatore Francesco Giuseppe Ciciriello and Francesco Giuseppe Ciciriello. He was the devoted grandfather of Benny Palomba, Briana Nastasi, Sierra Nastasi, Nikko Nastasi, Christina Carriere, Sophia Carriere, Sarina Francesca Ciciriello and Giuseppe Francesco Ciciriello. He also leaves his sister Carmela Greco.
The funeral service will be held from the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, on Saturday at 10 a.m. to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. Burial will follow in River Bend Cemetery.
