Benjamin Carpenter Obituary

Benjamin S. Carpenter III, 43, of Charlestown, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008. He was the husband of Linda (Luther) Carpenter, and they were married 19 years.
Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of Sophie (Mongillo) Carpenter of Wakefield and the late Benjamin S. Carpenter Jr.
Mr. Carpenter was the owner of Carpenter's Auto Body, Ltd. in Wakefield. He enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the NRA and the Toyota Land Cruiser Association.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Brittany M. and Jesse S. Carpenter, both at home; and three brothers, Bruce and David Carpenter, both of South Kingstown and John Carpenter of Charlestown.
A graveside service will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the Carpenter Family Cemetery, Perryville.

Linda, Brittany and Jesse,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and always. I am so grateful for all the memories we've had. Benny was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. I know that I am a better person for having known him. I know what a wonderful friend, father and husband he was.
Ben, thank you for everything!!! You were/are such a wonderful friend. I 'll miss you but I know I'll see you in heaven!!!

Linda and family, I am very sorry for your loss,my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.I had very good times with him as we were growing up in high school and many years after that.We went our separate ways with our lives and familys but when we ran into each other we always talked about old times.
