Rose Calitri Obituary
Rose was the wife of the late Ralph R. Calitri, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina (Cofone) DeLuca, sister of Carmella "Minnie" Capalbo of Westerly, the late Joseph DeLuca, Mary Ferraro, Eleanor Cicerone and James DeLuca.
Rose worked at the University of Rhode Island Dining Services from 1960 until her retirement in 1978. Previously she worked at Candy Textiles in Peace Dale.
Mrs. Calitri is survived by two daughters, Anna Appleby White of Delaware and Dolores Smith of Wakefield; five grandchildren, Lt. Colonel Robert E. Appleby Jr. and his wife Melissa of Maryland, Lisa A. Pereira and her husband Jose of North Kingstown, and Diana Mondragon, Tracey Wilson and her husband Gene, Aaron Smith and his wife Kimberly, all of Wakefield; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Aug., 11, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery in Peace Dale. Visiting hours will be held in the Forbes Funeral Home, 28 Columbia St., Wakefield, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNS Home Health Services, 14 Woodruff Ave., Wakefield, RI 02879.

Hi Dolores and family, just came back from the most spiritual Catholic Funeral I have ever attended; in other words it was not in Latin a great help. I just wanted to let you, Lisa, Diana, Aaron and Tracey that you all did such a great job of making Rosey's service a dedication of Life for a Christian who now is with Her Holy Mother and Jesus (the son of God) forever.
