Carl Bailey Obituary

Carl Williams Bailey Jr., 93, husband of the late Edna May Bailey and resident of Franke at Seaside in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at a local hospital.
He lived for 30 years on the Isle of Palms.
All services will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc.., Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Carl was born June 30, 1915, in Wallingford, Conn., son of the late Carl William Bailey Sr. and Mabel Cook Bailey.
He was a 1937 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and he was a retired architect and owner/manager of a small tool manufacturing company.
He is survived by two sons, Carl W. Bailey III and his wife, Connie, of Awendaw, S.C, and David Rollins Bailey and his wife Pat of Charlestown, R.I.; four grandchildren, Amy Bailey Inman and her husband, John, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Scott Bailey and his wife, Chiara of Richmond, Va., Michael Bailey and his wife, Tricia, of Seattle, Wash., and Stephen Bailey and his wife, Suzie, of McLean, Va.,; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franke at Seaside, 1885 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 or East Cooper Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 583, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29465.
