Antoinette (Cekala) Chamberlain Obituary

Antoinette (Cekala) Chamberlain, 99, of Alexandria, Va., and lifelong member of the Hope Valley community, died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Alexandria Hospital in Virginia. She was the beloved wife of Albert E. Chamberlain Sr. Sadly, he predeceased her on July 20, 1987.
Born in Long Island, New York, on Oct. 18, 1908, she was the daughter of the late John and Marcianna (Zisk) Cekala.
Mrs. Chamberlain was a laboratory technician at Kenyon Piece and Dye for many years before her retirement.
Antoinette was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Hope Valley and a longtime member of the church's altar and rosary society.
Mrs. Chamberlain will be sadly missed by her three children, Albert E. Chamberlain Jr. and his wife Ginger of Alexandria, Wesley F. Chamberlain and his wife Gloria of Putnam, Conn., and Josephine and her husband Edward Breault of Preston, Conn. She also leaves her sister, Catherine Koswaski of Hope Valley; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 1105 Main St., Hope Valley. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the S.R Avery Funeral Home, Main Street, Hope Valley.
Donations in Antoinette's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Suite 108, Providence, RI 02903.
