Mark Varnes Obituary

Mark E. Varnes, 51, of Dover died Sunday, March 7, 2010, in the Affinity Medical Center at Massillon.
A gifted and talented welder, Mark had been employed at Dover Conveyor for many years and was also a member of the Iron Workers Union.
Born March 25, 1958, in Dover, he was a son of Earl Varnes of Dover and the late Carole Goss Varnes.
Mark loved motorcycles especially riding his Harley. He was also very handy and took great pride in fixing up his house and restoring cars. Mark also enjoyed going to auctions.
In addition to his father, Mark will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 20 years, Carol Stephan Varnes, whom he married on Aug. 17, 1990; children, Ashley, Brittany, Sara, and Mark J. Varnes, all of the home; Tiffany, Krista and Gregg Patterson, all of Florida, and Kayla France of Dover; sisters, Debra (Bill) Abel and Kelli (Jeff) Mathews; brothers, Rick (Beth) Varnes and Tod (Nancy) Varnes, all of Dover; and four grandchildren.
Cremation will take place through the care of the Toland-Herzig Crematory with memorial services being held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at 6 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory at Dover with Pastor Jeff Mathews officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
