William Rigby Obituary

HAMILTON -- William E. Rigby, 82, passed away Saturday at home.

Born in Morrisville, PA, Mr. Rigby was a longtime area resident.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired in 1978 from Fisher Body, General Motors Division, after 30 years of service. He was also the owner/operator of Weather Control Co. of Hamilton.

Mr. Rigby was a devoted supporter of The Megan Nicole Kanka Foundation, Megan's Law, named for his late granddaughter. He was a lifetime member of the Yardley Fish and Game Club, a member of the Hamilton Elks BPOE #2262, the American Legion #458 and was an avid bowler, golfer, hunter and fisherman. Predeceased by his parents, Sampson and Carrie Murphy Rigby, his wife of 55 years, Monica J. Rigby, and his granddaughter, Megan Nicole Kanka, he is survived by six daughters and their husbands, Joyce and Charles Sanderson, Barbara and John Driscoll, Patricia Gates, Joan and Jeff Sikora, Monica and Greg Mahon and Maureen and Richard Kanka; his fiancee, Pearl Gieda; two sisters, Clara Mattingly and Leona Simon; a brother, George Rigby; his grandchildren and their spouses, David and Maggie Driscoll, Janice and Caleb Campbell, Jennifer Gates, Stephen Gates, Gregory and Liz Mahon, Bill and Michelle Mahon, Stephanie Mahon, Jessica Kanka, Jeremy Kanka, Eric Sikora, Jackie Sikora, Wayne, Ricky and Laurie Sanderson; his great-grandchildren, Connor, Sean and Samantha Campbell, Quinn Gates, Tyler Maynard, and Anna Sanderson.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday from the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.

Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.

Family and friends may call 6-9 p.m. tonight at the Colonial Home.

Uncle Bill will always hold a special place in my heart. I am grateful for the time we were able to share with his and Aunt Monnie's visits. Sorry I am unable to be there. Sending sympathy and love.
