Natasha Pfaff Obituary

Natasha L. Pfaff Natasha L. Pfaff, 19, of Gig Harbor, died February 9, 2008, at Seattle's Children's Hospital with her parents at her side. Natasha loved her family, her friends, her dog Sedgy, shopping, listening to oldies, and talking on the phone. Natasha was a Key Peninsula resident for the first 16 years of her life, attended Minter Creek Elementary School, where the students provided "Nickels for Natasha" contribution jars in stores all over the Key Peninsula and Gig Harbor to help provide family housing during her many surgeries in California. She also attended Key Peninsula Middle School and was a student briefly at Peninsula High School. She was vibrant, humorous and so easy to love. Natasha's bright eyes and expressive face shone with bravery and feistiness. In knowing her fight and seeing her overcome, one knew God's mercy and love . With the heart of a willing servant, Natasha trusted her heavenly Father, enduring heart breaking hardships, to bring glory to God. By His perfect and divine plan, her struggles changed us, blessed us and are a testament of God's infinite peace and power. Natasha is survived by her parents, Donald and Maureen Pfaff; brothers Jason and Daniel Bartos; cousin Melissa Brown (Matt and son Aidan); grandmothers Gladys Pfaff and Emily Rash; grandfather Donald Pfaff Sr. (Sherry); two aunts and three uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandfather John Rash. Viewing will be 11:00 - 3:00 pm, with a grave side service immediately following, Saturday, February 16, at Haven of Rest, in Gig Harbor. A Celebration of Life will be held that same day, 5:00 pm at Zion's Gate Church meeting at Lighthouse Christian School. Remembrances may be made to the Natasha L. Pfaff Memorial Fund at Key Bank, with all proceeds, after burial costs, to CCI (Canine Companions for Independence, Santa Rosa, CA). Arrangements by Haven of Rest, Gig Harbor.

Natash: I met you when you were about 10. I remember when I would drop by and have dinner at your house. It was a never dull...Sedgie would go wild even though he was he was 'trained'. Sometimes I would tease you a bit and your mom would say 'Don't get her wound up'. A lot of good that did cuz you were always up to a prank or tryin to trick me with a riddle or joke. You laughed a lot too. Thank for comeing to my wedding. Sure will miss you. GOD Bless.
