Humberto was a long time friend. He was fun to be around and the memories I had with him is all Good. He played sports from the time I first met him, at a young age, up through high school. He will be miss by both family and friends.

I can still see Humberto's big smile in my memory. He was always full of life as long as I knew him. I went to school with him from junior high school on. He was always a big fan of Mohammad Ali and he and I would always banter back and forth after one of his fights. God bless you, Humberto.

To the family of Humberto Ross: I am very saddened to hear of Humberto's passing. I have good memories of us playing football together at Vance Jr. High and at THS. We ran together on several successful relay teams on the THS track team. Humberto had a good sense of humor and was an all around nice guy. My prayers and sympathy go out to you at this time.

Family of Humberto Ross: I will always remember his smile, out going personality, and his unselfish character. I will also never forget the good times at Vance and THS playing sports, he being a true friend to all. Heaven is glowing with another Angel! May God be with you during this difficult time.

I was a childhood friend of Humberto's. We were in the same classes at THS, class of '79, along with Bruce Boyd, whom I also saw sign your guestbook. I was E-mailing Derrick Hord this a.m. about Humberto and we are so sorry to hear about his passing. I didn't keep in touch wtih him, nor did he with I,
but I can tell you that his passing has really affected me in a way that not many have. It made me realize that when you really like someone and consider them a friend, you should reach out to them and talk with them more; find out what they're doing and if they need help or just be a listening ear. As a Christian, I reach out to you now and would like to know what happened to Humberto after High School. And, I heard he was sick. What were his complications? I said a prayer for him today and just wanted his family to know that I considered him my friend. God Bless Humberto and God Bless his family. Derrick Hord just told me today that Humberto never complained about his life and was always a good person. More of us could learn to live by his example. Love, Retta Vance Poynter, Class of '79
