Howard Carmichael Obituary

CARMICHAEL _ Howard Wayne 1946 - 2006 Howard Wayne Carmichael, beloved husband of Irene Carmichael of Calgary, fought a very courageous battle with cancer and passed away at the age of 59 on May 17, 2006. Wayne was born in Regina on July 7, 1946, and came to Calgary where he married Irene in 1970. His devotions were always with his family, friends, and his two faithful Cairn Terriers - Zoe and Sydney. He also had a keen love of hiking, gardening and photography. Wayne is survived by his mother, Anne Carmichael of Regina; his sister Sharlene Limberger of Kelowna, B.C.,; his brother-in-law, Joe Limberger of Kelowna; his mother-in-law Emma Martin of Southey, Sask.; his brother-in-law Dennis Martin of Calgary; his sisters-in-law Linda Martin of Calgary and Janet Cawood and Linda S. Martin, both of Regina, Sask. He is also survived by his nephews, Trevor Cawood of Vancouver, Jason Cawood of Regina, Carey Martin of Nelson, B.C., Shane Martin and Chad Martin of Calgary, Chris Limberger of the Cayman Islands, Ken Limberger of Kelowna, and his niece Kathy Gray of Kelowna. Wayne was predeceased by his father Jack of Regina. A special thank you to all of his neighbours, friends, co-workers of Telus and to the caring and devoted staff at the Rockyview Hospital and Chinook Hospice who all helped to make his remaining days so comfortable. A Memorial Service will be held at FIRST MEMORIAL FUNERAL SERVICES, 240 - 17 Avenue S.W., Calgary on Thursday May 25, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Forward all condolences or tributes in Wayne's memory to [email protected] In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may make memorial tributes directly to the SPCA, 4455 - 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2C 2T7.
