Dear Dill family
I am so sorry for your loss. Bitten was one of the loveliest ladies that I ever met.
I loved all the meetings that I had with her and with Nicky a few decades ago when we were dealing with a house renovation. I remember a giggling fit that we had one day. Such fun.
She was a beautiful soul and Nicky would have been lost without her. They were both lovely and I feel privileged to have known them all those years ago.

Dearest Dills- My very deepest condolences for your most profound loss. Bitten was such a special lady- I remember her fondly, in so many ways- she was so lovely and welcoming to me when I first came to Bermuda. I remember her from early morning walks with my dog along Pitts Bay Road and Front Street, always a wave and a smile and sometimes a chat. She was witty, fun, warm and I'm not saying anything you don't already know and feel yourselves- but she was that way with everyone. Even me, even when she had no reason or obligation to be warm and genial. I will miss seeing her out and about, I will miss her beautiful smile and her welcoming demeanor. Always just the epitome of a true lady. We are all better for knowing her, may her memory be a blessing to you always. Much, much love to all of you in this difficult time.

Dear Karin, Nick, Patrick, and family, our deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom. We all were so fond of Bitten over all these years. From my years visiting the Island as
a young man with my Mother, to our years living in Bermuda raising our kids, Bitten
exuded charm, wit, good advice, and a strong preservation of family values.
Never forgetting her Norwegian roots, Bitten was a tremendous asset to our Island.
Philanthropic, positive, with great wisdom, and a wonderful laugh, our family will miss her deeply. Our best memories are with Bitten, as well as love and hugs to Karin, Nick,

I was so sorry to hear about Bitten. My condolences to her lovely family. Bitten, her late husband Nicky and I were on a business trip to Vienna. My suitcase was mislaid so we were upgraded on the return journey, however we had flown first class so the only upgrade was on Concord. Bitten and I were like little kids we were so excited. I shall never forget that trip or the love for life that Bitten and Nicky had. Amazing wonderful couple. Together now. With love Coral Dakin.

Mrs. Dill was truly a lady. She was always well dressed and a smile on her face with a funny story. I knew her from growing up with Patrick and then from Otto Wurz Co. I will definitely miss her wonderful reflections on the world and the laughs we shared. My deepest condolences to all the family and especially to Patrick. Your Mom was a force of nature and truly a lady worth respect and admiration.

Dear Patrick, Karen, Nick and families
We were deeply saddened by the loss of Bitten Dill. Bitten was a lifelong friend of my mother, Anne-Lise Hillestad Røkaas, who passed away last summer. Bitten and Anne-Lise grew up together in Holmestrand, Norway and remained close friends despite living so far apart, with frequent phone calls and visits in both Bermuda, Norway and Vermont. Anne-Lise and Jan have especially fond memories of the time they spent with the Dill clan in Lofoten a few years ago. Jan, Felicia and I spent a lovely afternoon at Blaafarveværket with Bitten and Karen in August sharing memories of great times spent together in Bermuda and in Norway over the years. The friendship between two schoolgirls from a little coastal town in Norway has woven the fabric of our families together. We will always cherish the memory of dear Bitten. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

Although Tom and I no longer live in Bermuda, I try to keep a connection because it meant so much to me. I met Mrs. Dill on only two occassions, but the one that stands out is when she came to our rectory, at the time, in St. George's for the Queen's Jubilee celebration. I was taken by her gracefulness and warmth. My heart reaches out in prayers to Bishop Nick and family. What a blessing to have had her in your lives.
