Beatrice Beserra Obituary
On Saturday,
January 14th Mrs. Beatrice Beserra born September 20th 1923 succumbed to natural causes she was 99 years old.
She was surrounded with love by her sons Frank Beserra, Carlos Beserra , Rudy Beserra, granddaughter Nicole Beserra and family friend Marty Narro.
Mrs. Beserra has been the matriarch of the Beserra family since the death of her husband Frank Beserra in November of 1999 after 50 years of marriage. Mrs. Beserra was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and grew up in the Barelas neighborhood and attended Albuquerque High School completing 12 years. She was a successful homemaker and mother. Her husband Frank Beserra was a very prominent community leader and Mrs. Beserra was active in supporting her husband.
She is survived by her three sons and their families. Sons, Frank J. Beserra retired Senior Executive member for the U.S. Department of Energy as a member of President George W. Bush Administration. Son Rudy Beserra was a Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan and retired Senior Vice President for Coca Cola in Atlanta, GA. Son Carlos J Beserra is a Director of Sponsorship/Community Legislative Affairs for the Expo New Mexico/ State Fair. In addition, the immediate family includes daughter in law Lois Beserra, granddaughters Olivia Beserra, Alana Beserra Weigel and husband Denny Weigel; granddaughter Nicole Beserra, great grandson Carlos Beserra and granddaughter Brianna Beserra. She also has a strong family support team in nieces and nephews among are Victor and Dianne Beserra, Bob and Carmelita Dedigs, Shane (wife Molly) and Sam Dedigs, Adam Beserra, Victoria and Eugene Lujan, in addition to many family friends.
Mrs. Beserra asked that donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mrs. Beserra will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her husband Frank Beserra.
