I thought the world of him and so sorry to learn of his passing. I worked with him on the Cuarto
Centennial Project Committee 1996. He was treated so badly by that Committee and I stood up for him.

The Voces Oral History Project

Sincerest condolences from all of us at the Voces Oral History Project at UT Austin. We are honored to have had the opportunity to interview Mr. Encinias in 2001 for our oral history project (his story is here: http://goo.gl/vZOzDL). We are forever grateful.
We also wanted to let the family know that we forwarded the news to The Greatest Generation Foundation's Facebook page and they posted a tribute to him -- there are hundreds of people honoring him with beautiful words on that post. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/rememberthosewhoserved/
May his legacy continue to live on and be honored by future generations. Thank you for your service, Mr. Encinias.

Dr. Encinias made a name for himself and was an incredible voice in his community. Ecclesiastes 7:1 tells us that a good name is better than good oil. I know he will truly be missed. Deepest condolences to the family and all who knew him and loved him. We all look forward to the day John 5:25 will come true for all the ones we love and lost.
