Rosalea Koon Obituary
Rosalea Koon, 91, went home to heaven Monday, December 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Wickliff Koon; and her grandson, Terry James Reinicke. Rosalea is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Reinicke; grandson, William H. Reinicke III and his wife, Amey; granddaughter, Sabrina Hamilton and her husband, Bruce; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Rosalea was born in Mexico, KY October 6, 1926, the youngest of six girls. She moved to Albuquerque in 1955 with her husband and daughter for her husband's health. Rosalea was employed by the Baptist Convention of New Mexico as the associate editor for 18 years. During this time, she also served as the acting editor and press manager. She resigned her position in 1976 to care for her husband.
Rosalea was an active member of Albuquerque First Baptist Church since 1955. She had a great love for children and enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She joined the church bowling league in 1977 and continued to bowl until 2014.
Rosalea lived a long full life, always sharing her love for Jesus and the plan of salvation. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. May her memory be eternal!
A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., at FRENCH â€" University, with the Service immediately following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the ceremony at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:30 p.m. Please visit our online guestbook for Rosalea at
