Linda Kay Leegaard

1960 - 2023

Linda Kay Leegaard (Reese) went to rest peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in the early hours of April 5, 2023.
She was born on March 4, 1960, to Jack Melton and Lela Rae (Dunbar) Reese in Brush, Colorado.
Linda spent her early years in eastern Colorado and moved to Loveland as a teenager. She then graduated from Thompson Valley High School in 1978.
Linda started touching the community in the restaurant business in 1976 at the Mexican Inn, starting a 40-year career, which she continued by serving at El Dorado, Adelitas, and Pho Lan, in her later years.
Linda had an unmeasurable strength, giving her the ability to be a one of a kind caregiver throughout the entirety of her life. Anyone who knew Linda knew of her big heart, integrity, and most of all, her perseverance.
Survivors include her two daughters, Chasity and Brandy, as well as three grandchildren, Chalee, Kyla and Rian. She also leaves behind her boyfriend, Don Chavez; several close life-long friends; and her beloved cat, "Cutie".
She was pre-deceased by her father, Jack Reese; her mother, Lela Colpitts; her step-father, Orris Colpitts; her brother, Randy Reese; Sally Chavez; and the father of her children, Rod Leegaard.
As per her wishes, there will be no services held, however, cards and condolences are welcome to be sent to the Allnut Funeral Home at 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
