Tommy Ray Brundige

1945 - 2015

Tommy Ray Brundige returned home on December 27th 2015 at the Medical Center of the Rockies at the young age of 70.
Tommy is survived by his wife Susan Brundige, sons Jason Brundige his wife Elena Brundige, Eden Brundige and daughters Jannette Kerkvliet, Johann Cruz and husband George Cruz, Adrianna Brundige and wife Monique Brundige grandkids Heather Kerkvliet, Timothy Kerkvliet, Anastasia Brundige, Daniel Brundige, Emilio Brundige, Tommy Brundige and great-grandkid Jaydan Kerkvliet, Brother Kenny Brundige and wife Gina Brundige, Wayne and sisters Susie Garcia and Kathy and several nieces and nephews.

Tommy was the eldest son of six children born on August 31st 1945 in Newton, Kansas hard work started at a young age helping on the family farm and following crops around the United States with his father until he met his best friend and forever wife Susan in a labor camp in Paonia, Colorado picking apples at the age of 15. They got married on September 27th 1965 in San Diego, CA where he would start a career at Rohr Industries. With great success as an Aeronautical Engineer he paved the way to raise his 5 children allowing for many great memories. Tommy enjoyed camping, taking family road trips, telling stories about his past. He also enjoyed playing piano and dancing to his favorite artist Aretha Franklin. He always worked hard to make sure his family had everything they needed. After working 45 years at Rohr he retired and moved to Akron, CO in August of 2009. During his retired years he spent time with his grandkids and went fishing when he could. On September 27th 2014 he celebrated 51 years of marriage with his one true love.
A Funeral Service was held on January 5th, 2016 at 11am at the Foursquare Church of Akron Interment followed at the Akron Cemetery.
