RUBEN SERNA Obituary
RUBEN SERNA SR.
Ruben Serna Sr., age 80, entered eternal rest on August 10, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born August 3, 1944, in Kingsville, Texas to Mr. Reymundo Serna and Mrs. Eva Mercado Serna. A proud Vietnam veteran, he always flew his flag high and proud, a symbol of his dedication and sacrifice for his country. Ruben was a true Jack of all trades, there was nothing he couldn't do; whether it was fixing a car, repairs around the house, or lending a helping hand to a neighbor, he approached every task with confidence. He had a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys, Western movies, and enjoyed all types of music, from country to Tejano, and often busted out his guitar to play and sing along with family and friends. The joy of his life was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness and laughter. He made it a point to be an active and engaged grandfather, sharing stories, teaching them new skills, and creating cherished memories. Above all, he was a father to everyone who needed one, offering support, love, and guidance, but he was an especially great dad to his own children, instilling strong values in them.

Serna; 2 Children, Elisa (Eric) Wendt, and Ruben (Belinda) Serna.; Siblings, Belia Garcia, Josefa "Josie" Adams, Eva (Lauriano) Hernandez, and Ernesto (Josephina) Serna; Sister in law, Emelia Serna; 2 Grandchildren, Meredith Lynn (Matthew Christensen) Serna, and Ruben Ernesto III "Bubba'; and 1 great-granddaughter, Sage Lynn.
