Ruth Draper Obituary

Draper, Ruth Susan (Norton) Ypsilanti, MI Born December 10, 1921 died November 9, 2003 after a long illness. Born in Flint, MI, she was daughter of Mr. William W. Norton, Sr. and Jennie Belle Lewis. She earned her nursing degree from Hurley Hospital, Flint, MI before coming to Ann Arbor. She married Cecil A. Draper of Ann Arbor. She was member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Ypsilanti. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil; and her sons, James, Richard and Neil. She is survived by her brother, Clinton (Doris) of Austin, TX; children, Anna Jean of Trinity, TX, Robert (Jennie) Draper of Jackson, MI, David R. (Minerva) Draper of Ann Arbor, Eugene C. (Kathy) Draper of Ann Arbor; 15 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Muehlig Funeral Home, Ann Arbor, Wednesday, November 12, 2003, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A memorial will follow at 1 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Arbor Hospice of Ann Arbor or a charity of your choice.
