Barry Mortensen Obituary
AGE: 61 • Freehold
Barry R. Mortensen, 61, of Freehold died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Freehold. Born on January 9, 1950 in Perth Amboy and resided in Perth Amboy for 30 years before moving to Parlin and Freehold. He worked for 10 years in the maintenance department with the NJ Turnpike Authority, and then in the human services department at Marlboro State Hospital, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Perth Amboy, Boy Scout Troop # 10 in Perth Amboy and Raritan Mason Lodge #61.
Predeceased by his parents Robert and Dorothy (Ludwigsen). He is survived by his sister, Karla Hinkel of Greencastle, Ind.; nephew, Jeffrey Hinkel; aunt Marie Kseniak; cousins Diane Canto and Robert Thullesen.
Funeral Services at 11 AM Friday April 1, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Perth Amboy, 250 High Street, Perth Amboy from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy. Interment to follow at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy. Visitation on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Perth Amboy. Karla, My condolences. Although I hadn't seen Barry lately, I remember him being a caring, fun-loving guy. We will all miss him very much.

Dear Aunt Ree & family,
We just heard this morning & are so sorry! Barry will NEVER be forgotten. His kind words & heart brought hundreds of smiles to our faces over the last 4 1/2 years. He will be greatly missed. If there's anything we can do please let us know.

Aunt Marie and family,
We had the pleasure of meeting Barry over the last few months of living in Raintree. He was such a nice man! Our neighborhood will never be the same. God Bless you and your family during this difficult time! He will be very missed!
