Brielle - Carol J Stephens, 88 of Brielle passed away Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Carol was born and raised in East Orange and moved to Bloomfield in 1951. She was a graduate of East Orange High School, where she was voted "Best Looking." Carol loved her NY Yankees, her lottery tickets and mostly her dogs Amber, Bailey and Dutch. She was a generous person donating to such organizations as Catholic Charities, Veteran's organizations, animal rescues and the local PBA. Carol was also known to be a fabulous cook. She worked as an administrative assistant for Walter H. Mercy Associates, Manasquan and Thompson Agency, Avon.

Carol was predeceased by her parents Sydney and Madeline Freeman, her sister and best friend Phyllis Freeman, her first husband and love Robert J Fredericks, her second husband William Stephens, several cousins including Fred Sigrist, who was like a brother to her. She is survived by her stepchildren, William Stephens and Suzanne Davis; numerous cousins including Fred Sigrist's children Mary Jane Carrigg, Fred Sigrist, Cindy Kapalko, Pam Bennett and Jim Sigrist.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday October 12, 2018 from 10 am until 11 am at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Graveside service will be held 12:30 pm on Friday October 12, 2018 at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
