Cecelia A. Mauro (Pagano)

Brick - Cecelia A. Mauro (Pagano) 93 passed peacefully at her residence in the Metedeconk section of Brick, N.J. on Feb. 19, 2021.

Born in Elizabeth N.J. in 1927, she is the sole survivor of thirteen children. As a young woman she worked in the family florist business before marrying the love of her life, Angelo (Babe) Mauro Sr. and started their own family of eight children. The family moved from Colonia N.J. to Colts Neck on St. Patrick's Day in the early 80's and the holiday from there on was always a cause for celebration.

A devoted wife & mother, Cecelia was never happier than being surrounded by all her family. She loved the holidays filled with the laughter of everyone gathered around a big table & time at the shore, where she maintained a home for years. Weekends during the summer always had an open door policy and all were welcome. Boat rides, crabbing or just listening to the water lapping against the dock were constant sources of enjoyment. Cecelia assumed ownership of Mauro Motors on Amboy Ave. in Woodbridge after the death of her beloved husband.

Cecelia was predeceased by both parents, her siblings & her husband.

Surviving are her children Rosalie (Robert) Bennett, Michael (Alfred J.), Salvatore (Janice K.), Thomas (Valerie S.), Janine (Christopher) Guderian, Cecelia Mauro, Joseph Mauro & Angelo Mauro along with eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren & many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were provided through the Colonial Funeral Home in Pt. Pleasant, N.J. Viewing was private followed by a private entombment in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia, N.J.
