HARRY E. ODELL JR.
AGE: 61 POINT PLEASANT
Harry E. Odell Jr., 61, of Point Pleasant, passed away at Ocean Medical Center on Sunday, November 14, and is now reunited with his mother, Dorothy, his father, Harry Sr., and his sister, Barbara E. Odell Walker. Harry Jr. was a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant. After High School, he spent his time operating his gift shop "The Pick It Shop", visiting his comorades at Fire Co. #2, where he was an honorary member, and dedicating countless hours at the Point Pleasant Elks Lodge, being very involved with the handicapped children's committee. Harry Jr. was a communicant of St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church, where he played keyboards with the Harvest Folk Group.
Harry Jr. was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Harry Sr., and sister Barbara. Surviving are his brother-in-law, Thomas Walker, his niece, Brooke Burnham, his nephew, Jude Walker and his great nieces and nephew, Skylar, Olivia and Owen; also, several extended family members and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm, Tuesday, November 16 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Martha's Church, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant, at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, November 17th, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's memory may be made to Point Pleasant Elks Lodge #1698, Handicapped Children's Committee, 820 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant, NJ 08742 and would be greatly appreciated.

Harry was a great guy as well as friend,He and my husband shared rooms at OMC in 2007, He was a compasionate and carring person, Always concerned even with the things he indured at that time.. Kenny only had good things to say and was lucky Harry was there with him till the end. I wish the family may prayers and good memories, May God watch over them and comfort them knowing Harry is now a Angel watching over them.God Bless!

Dear Harry Jr's Family,
Oh my Lord, I can't believe so soon on the heels of Harry Sr's passing....Many memories as my parents were very close to Harry and Dorothy all during their high school years and then again later on.
I remember Harry Jr. playing his electric piano at almost every occasion. So sorry, he will always be in my memory.

I have so many good memories of Harry and the O'Dell family in my childhood and teen years. We lived on the same road. The entire O'Dell family was an inspiration to people with handicapped children.
