Michael V. Mariano, 76, of Toms River, NJ, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Howell, NJ before moving to Toms River 34 years ago.
Michael was a Meat Manager for Grand Union in Brick and Toms River for 40 years, retiring in 2006.
He was a graduate of Bayonne High School and attended Meat Cutter School in Cleveland, Ohio.
Michael served in the US Army and was a parishioner of St. Justin RC Church, Toms River.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Merle Joy (nee Sell) Mariano, his three children Tommy Mariano & his wife LuAnne of Howell, NJ, Lisa Elrick & her husband Bruce of Forked River, NJ and Mark Mariano of Barnegat, NJ, 2 step children Jennifer Bauer & her husband Charlie of Toms River and Steven Duffield & his wife Kristen of Toms River, a sister Marie Passantino, and 4 grandchildren Ken, Kate, Leah & Jake.
The family will receive friends Friday 9:00am until the funeral service at 12:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. Burial to follow the service at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ.
