Steve Owen Obituary
Steve H. Owen, age 70, of Fruitland, Idaho, formerly of Yuba City, California, died June 20, 2023, in Fruitland, Idaho.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette, Idaho.
Stephan was born on December 23, 1952, in Yuba City, California, to Hiley Francis and Dorothy Louis (Pratt) Owen.
He attended Yuba City High School. He worked for a heating company until he retired. He joined the US Navy in 1973. He served on the USS Oriskany. In 1976 he was Honorably Discharged.
Stephan loved fishing, hunting, trapping, finding old bottles, metal detecting, and playing his guitar. He was a hero to his wife Wendy Owen.
Stephan, beloved husband, is survived by his wife, Wendy (Gwen) Owen; and his brother, Vernon Roper.

Steve and I been friends for sense 1968 , And we have a lot things together we like the same kind of music and have went seen HANK, JR & MERLE HAGGARD 5 times each , we ran dogs ,hunt fish ,metal detecting a lot ! I miss him a brother I never thought about it but him gone I feel empty in side of me .R.S.P. old man . JIM

I remember Steve growing up. We always played in Grandma's yard in Marysville off of Freeman Street. I wish we had stayed in touch. Life goes by so fast my condolences to you Wendy for losing such a thoughtful loving husband.

I am so sorry to hear of steve's passing. We had great times fishing and playing our guitars together. I often thought of him as a younger brother. I will miss him!!

So many good things to say about Steve. I met him while I took care of his mother in my Assisted Living Forrest Lane. Steve took care of the facility´s heating issues. Steve was a honest and caring man. He always had candy for his mom and the other residents. Steve loved to talk about his fishing trips with the men over coffee. He took the time to speak with staff and would thank them for there hard work. He liked to laugh and had a great smile.
