Andres Brokaw Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Mrs. Andres Barker Brokaw, age 86, of Marietta, died October 17, 2004. Mrs. Brokaw, a long-time resident of Fairburn, was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Brokaw and is survived by her son, William H. Brokaw, Jr., of Delta, Alabama and her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Jim Finch of Marietta and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brokaw graduated from the Hillman Hospital School of Nursing in 1941 as a Registered Nurse. She went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army as an R.N. during World War II, serving in New Zealand and Guadalcanal. Mrs. Brokaw was a member of Fairburn United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 12 o'clock at the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Rev. Kelly Barge and Rev. John Brantley officiating. Interment, Clay County Memory Gardens in Ashland, AL at 2:30 C.S.T. Those wishing may send an on-line condolence at www.parrottfuneralhome.com. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until funeral hour. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn. 770-964-4800.
