Daddy, Wow, 2 years. Time passes, doesn´t it? One of my mom´s favorite expressions is one I told her from you. We still get a good laugh. I hope they have memorialized your booth at Cross Creek. Are you and Mama showing `em how it´s done in heaven? Love, Jennifer

"Daddy", you were always good to me. I remember that you asked about me every time you and Preston spoke when I was struggling with my depression. You and "Mama" were so welcoming of me into your family when Preston and I dated and later became best friends. I remember your off color humor that I found hysterical (we´ll leave the details unpublished) and our last breakfast together at Cross Creek, where you were known and liked by the entire staff.
I´m sorry to know that you are now gone but happy that you and Mama are together again, which is what you always wanted. Thank you and Mama for remembering me on my birthday and at Christmas with generous gifts. You were a true Southern gentleman.
I´m sad for your family that you´re gone. You were the patriarch of one of the best families I´ve ever known. I´ll never forget you and when I think of you, it will probably be of the laughs we had.
Thank you for Preston, Walker, Tommy and Stanley. The first is my greatest friend and the latter three are fine and fun people who embraced me and always made me feel welcomed and loved. You should be proud of the children you helped raise.
I´ll miss you but I´ll see you on the other side. In the meantime, be well and happy and see if you can pull a few strings for me!
Love,
Jennifer Weissenberger
