Drexel Bowdoin Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Drexel H. Bowdoin, age 84, of Gainesville, GA died March 23, 2009. He retired from the Fulton County Marshal's Office as a Major. He is survived by his wife Marcia Bond Bowdoin and two daughters and sons-in-law: Carole and Fletch Lewallen of Barnesville, GA and Lindia and Stanley Abercrombie of Douglasville, GA., nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his two sons: Drexel H. Bowdoin, Jr. and Dohn Grady Bowdoin. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday March 26 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Holland officiating. Interment will follow in College Park Cemetery, the family will receive friends Wednesday March 25 from 6 to 8 pm at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, East Point, GA.
