Funeral Services for Joseph Paul Dunson will be held Friday, August 15, 2003 at 2 PM at Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church, 291 Hamilton E. Holmes Dr. NW. Pastor William Winston, officiating. Instate 1 PM. Interment Lincoln. Family and friends assemble at the church at 1:45 PM. Preceded in death by daughter, Sherrie Dunson Fowler. Survived by loving and dedicated wife, Louise Davis Dunson; children, Earl and Joyce Dunson, Ronald and Gwendolyn Dunson of Somers. CT, Sandra Dunson-Franks, Katherine and Roger Brittian of College Park, GA and Joseph and Rhonda Dunson of Bloomfield, CT; 14 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Christmas 2024 remembering my Dad with the most beautiful of memories. He would always bring the best Christmas trees and fill the house with nuts, peppermint sticks and fruit and raisins! He was the best Dad and I treasure those memories with a grateful heart.

Forever missed....time is passing so swiftly. It´s 21 years already since I´ve seen my father´s smile. I cherish the wonderful memories that i hold dear in my heart. His legacy lives on through so many. Another great granddaughter arrived on August 4th. Her name is Dailynn Emira, Sherrie´s grand from Joy!
Soon we´ll gather together with all the family at Jesus Grand Appearance and that will be the best family reunion ever.

Joseph aka Jeff, my Daddy would have celebrated his 109th birthday today. He transitioned in 2003 and lives on in the hearts of so many!
He was very much loved and will never ever be forgotten!

I celebrate the memory of my father as I acknowledge my 71st birthday. I miss him dearly. I was very blessed to have a father that provided and loved us in his own way. Forever missed. Never Firgotten.

August 11,2003 left a hole in my heart and I continue to feel the pain of loss. Today is Father´s Day and all I have are memories of a great Dad, great provider. I miss his barbecues and his laughter.

August 11, 2023....20 years have passed since I saw my father alive and enjoyed his dry humor. I come to post on his legacy page because he´s not forgotten. He´s truly UNFORGETTABLE! Brian and his wife are expecting another son! An addition to his legacy. I believe he would be very proud of his family.
We have faced many challenges in his absence but I believe he would have inspired us through them all.
I miss my father beyond words and I truly hope to see him again in the resurrection of the saints of God! No more death and pain just peace and love! and joy!

It´s July 2, 2023! Our Dad would have celebrated his 108 th birthday!
Forever missed and held living within our hearts. I praise God for the blessing of having had a great supporter and community leader as our Patriarch. Memories are forever!

Resurrection Sunday 2023
I long for the big resurrection when Jesus return and raise His children from their sleeping graves. I miss my father so much. His absence left has a hole in my heart. Soon we´ll see our family members again but until then I´ll keep holding on to Jesus strength in homes His return is very soon.

I remember my Dad in a very special way. A community activist, an entrepreneur and loved community.

Here I am on another anniversary of my father´s passing...19years now. I honor the memory of a great father and great community activist. He as selfless in many ways. He gave of himself to our Pittsburg community´;
hosting barbecues, many cook outs, coaching baseball for the guys and softball for the girls. Many wonderful memories shared during his lifetime. He owned Tucker Cab Co another pillar in our Pittsburg community. Yes I honor my father and the love I have for him lives on through me and the rest of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I praise God for blessing us Daddy Dunson and the many lives he touched. I pray we all will see him and others on that great resurrection day! Hallelujah!

Thankful for the many happy memories of my dad. I´m thankful to God for having his presence for 88 years. 69 years ago he gave me life through my loving mother. I miss them beyond words.

Father´s Day 2022: Sleeping since 2003 awaiting the resurrection call;I miss my father so much. we visit his gravesite every year in remembrance of the great father he was to us.
I believe that Grand Rising will occur very soon and that will be the greatest Family Reunion ever! His memory lives on through those who knew and loved him like me.

Jeff Dunson was the best father to me. He had his faults , like each of us but he was a great provider, we had our own home and he would take us and some neighbors on summer trips. He was funny and loved playing checkers and horse shoes, fishing, and coaching community baseball games.
I´m placing this entry today because my Dad was a Big Braves Fan. He would occasionally go to games and would let me tag along. He would have been so proud to witness another Braves World Series Win!
I miss my Daddy so much. I´m praying for the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ fir that Grand Rising and Grand Reunion. We´re almost home!!!!!

on August 11 will be 18 years since your transition. In memory of the best father a daughter could have. I think of you and Ma every day. Our community has changed but the memories that you left will always remain. i miss you so much but it won´t be long now because we´re almost home, that grand reunion of the appearing of Jesus Christ our Savior returns! My grandaddy was hard on the outside, but soft on the inside! He was a man of a few words unless he liked youI appreciate his consistency and perseverance; he owned Tucker Cab with little education, that's defying the odds! ...and thank you for helping me buy my first car, you gave me the down payment like it was nothing! I was just looking at a picture of you the other day. So many fond memories: barbecues, yard work, planting shrubs, picking kids up from church school, baseball team, repairing cars, handsome deacon...you are missed. Grateful for all you did out of love. You left a legacy of great memories.
