Anne,

I was so sorry to hear of Lydia's death. Mother and Fay join me in our sympathy to you. I had hoped to come to the funeral but I've been off for spring break for a week and am very far behind in seeing patients. It was so wonderful to see you at Aunt Annie Ruth's home in November.

I remember fondly all the times we spent with your family in the summers. I know you have many happy memories of Lydia's childhood as well.

Please know that we will be remembering you and all your family in our thoughts and prayers. We will say a special prayer for you on Monday. I'll call you when you return to Atlanta. Please give a hug to Helen and Margaret as I haven't seen them in years.

May God's peace that passes all understanding give you comfort and surround you with His love today and in the days to come.

Much love,

Jan Stapleton Simmons
