I offer my sincerest condolences to you and your family on your loss. Death is never an easy thing to cope with. And though it does happen in this system, there is still hope for those that have died. I'd like to share a scripture from 1 Corinthianso 15:24-26, it says here that death will be brought to nothing. God wants to resurrect those who have fallen asleep in death and he will soon.
