NEY, Robert William Robert William Ney, 94, died the morning of February 10, 2015 in Atlanta Georgia. A memorial service and burial will be held at Arlington Memorial Park (201 Mt Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs 30328) on Sunday, February 21 at 11 am. A gathering at Stefanie and Sergio Stadler's house will follow the service. Robert W. Ney was born on June 28, 1921 in Atlanta. He attended Boys High, Georgia Tech and Southern College of Pharmacy. Known to many as Bobby, R.W., Robert, Daddy, Doc, Uncle Bobby, Pop and Bob, Mr. Ney was a loving son and brother, a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a loyal friend to many. Bob served in the Army Corps of Engineers and was stationed in the South Pacific during WWII. After returning from the war, he married his wife, Hilda Popkin, on December 1, 1946 and started their family of four children. Bob moved his family to Sandy Springs to open the Roswell Road Pharmacy where he served the community for decades. After retiring as a pharmacist, Bob took up woodworking and generously and prolifically filled up the houses of family and friends with furniture, turnings and handmade gifts. Bob lived a full life and was loved dearly by his friends and family. He was a generous, honest and sweet man. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those who loved and knew him. He is predeceased by his wife Hilda Ney on February 26, 2011 and is survived by his children Stefanie and Sergio Stadler, Chip and Karen Ney, Kim Ney and Wayne Howell, Terri and Tim Leiter; and his grandchildren Avi and Carey, Erik and Bree, Ryan and Nikki, Travis, Jason; and his great grandchildren Asher, Lili, Elena and Juliet; and his brother Stanley Ney.
